The ornament is one of the earliest abstract forms of artistic expression. I have generated a grid based on the paper size and the width of the pen I used. Within this grid a pattern is drawn. The structure of the pattern is variable in color and multiplicative. This way a large number of individual patterns is created. They are framed and again arranged in the same form of pattern as 'mise en abyme'. The abstract space is ornamented. The grid on the paper repeats itself in the grid of the framed pictures.
